Bring out the clowns They are not carnival clowns and they are not party clowns, although they do lift the spirits. These clowns, known by many within the Kilgore/Longview area, are called "Clowns on the Rock" — ministering clowns found everywhere from hospitals in East Texas to broken villages in Mexico, and more recently at Alley Fest in Longview.
