GCSO looking for information on vandals
      Unknown vandals damaged a warehouse and caused $5,000 worth of damage, according to the Gregg County Sheriff 's Office. Deputies are investigating the crime, which occurred at a warehouse under construction at 2143 FM 2751, also known as North Airline Road, in the northeast part of the county. The criminal mischief occurred sometime between June 13 and 15.

Crime Stoppers offers reward for arrests
      Crime Stoppers is willing to pay up to $1,000 for tips leading to the arrest of thieves who stole property from three different businesses. Gregg County Sheriff 's Office deputies are investigating the theft of a Volvo backhoe from 10730 Texas 149 on Friday, June 12. The backhoe was driven through a fence and loaded onto a trailer waiting in the area.

      A news release from the University of Texas at Tyler last week incorrectly reported that Chris Covent had been named to the Dean's List for the spring semester. The name is correctly spelled Chris Chandler Covnet.
