THURSDAYS IN THE PATCH returns June 18 with "Shake, Rattle and Roll" under the derricks of the World's Richest Acre Park. The free, one-hour concert begins at 6:30 p.m. This quartet of East Texas ladies sing tunes from the 1950s and '60s. Everyone is invited to spend an hour going down memory lane.

DANVILLE CEMETERY ASSOCIATION annual meeting is 11 a.m. June 25 at the cemetery for memorial services. Lunch will follow; bring your favorite foods. STROKES AND MINI-STROKES will be the topic of a free seminar in Gladewater sponsored by the University of Texas Health Center at Tyler. Do you know the signs of a stroke? VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED to help Virginia Hudson and her crew spread mulch and work in the Shakespeare Garden on Brook Drive at Hwy. 259, next to the Anne Dean Turk Fine Arts Center. JUSTIN CLINTON MEMORIAL FUND has been set up at Regions Bank to defray the costs of the 10-year-old's funeral. Justin was killed by two bulldogs in Leverett's Chapel on Monday and his family does not have insurance. Donations may be made at any Regions Bank in East Texas.
