Smitherman resigns Sabine ISD position

A Sabine ISD school board member resigned Monday night, saying other obligations make him unable to continue serving. Jamie Smitherman, who ran unopposed for Place 2 in last November's election, submitted his letter of resignation and it was unanimously accepted by fellow trustees.
