Aging, shrinking congregation unites with Pirtle Methodist
The newly-united Methodist Church at Pirtle is a marriage of two sister churches, according to Rev. Dudley Plaisance, pastor. Sunday, June 7, was a major milestone in the history of the local United Methodist Church. Laird Hill UMC established in 1935, and Pirtle UMC established in 1847, became one.
