Pastor talks churches to Rotarians
      David Goodwin, pastor of Carlisle United Methodist Church and Henry's Chapel United Methodist Church, was the guest speaker for the Kilgore Rotary Club on Wednesday. Goodwin, a former Kilgore Rotarian, updated the club on the two churches he pastors since he left the club more than a year ago.

KC to host cheerleading camp June 17-19
      Kilgore College Cheerleaders will host their annual summer cheerleading camp June 17-19 on the KC campus. The camp is open to boys and girls ages 5-12. All participants will learn chants, a dance, safe cheer stunts and jump technique. Also, campers will participate in a "Best of the Best" competition as well as a "Show Offs" performance on the final day of camp.

Saddle up and head to the Gladewater Rodeo with the Lions
      It's time once again for the annual Gladewater Round- Up Rodeo, which the Kilgore Lions Club is all about. Each year the local Lions help park cars at the rodeo. Jackie Wood, Round-Up Association vice president, said not only have the Lions been a big support for the rodeo each year, but there are many others in the City of Kilgore, as well.

Three Kilgore men among those indicted by grand jury
      Three Kilgore men are among those indicted by the grand jury of the 124th District Court in Gregg County when it met May 27-28. The grand jury returned 41 indictments, 19 of which were sealed due to no arrest at the time of indictment, according to a news release from District Attorney Carl Dorrough's office.
