Coming off an Olympic year, Xi Pi Mu members had their own version of competitive team sports. The theme for the evening, "The Thrill of Victory, the Agony of Defeat, Let the Games Begin" held true most of the evening. Team games consisted of Last One Standing, Peanut Pitching, Card Flipping, several Secret Sayings Balloon Relays and Pass the Orange Relays.
Competition was fierce among the three teams but the blue team, the Misfits, won the gold. Close behind winning the silver was the yellow team, the SAXET. The green team, M-I-O-Wa, competed valiantly and just edged out to receive the bronze medal.
Attending were Darlene and Dean Bingham, Lora and Tom Black, Peggy and Don Bowne, Vicki and Jackie Clayton, Diana and Mike Coston, Cookie and Charlie Gauntt, Gail and Kerry Hargrave, Rose Anna and Jeff Howell, Martha Lee, Sherry and John Lockman, Debbie McCubbin, Pat and Art Morchat, Diann and Terry Pickard, Lsha and Bill Stanley, Ann and Terry Thrower.
