WELCOME TO KILGORE RECEPTION for the Texas Shakespeare Festival is 5:30 to 7 p.m. May 26 in the lobby of the Anne Dean Turk Fine Arts Center. Public invited to welcome cast and crew. TEXAS SHAKESPEARE FESTIVAL TICKETS go on sale to the public June 2. The 2009 festival will run July 2-Aug. 2 and feature: "Romeo and Juliet," "Love's Labour's Lost," "Tartuffe," "She Loves Me," and a children's show, TBA. DAUGHTERS OF THE REPUBLIC OF TEXAS, John Tilley Edwards Chapter, will meet 11 a.m. May 20 at the Jalapeno Tree restaurant on Eastman Road in Longview. Officers for 2009-2011 will be installed. DROP-IN CRAFT AFTERNOON FOR KIDS, featuring many different crafts, will be 3 to 5 p.m. May 20 at 3-5 p.m. in the Moeschle Room at Longview Public Library. "THURSDAY IN THE PATCH" MUSIC PROGRAMS will be the third Thursday of each month. "The Muses" — a Celtic group — will be here 6:30 p.m. May 21 on the Winter Elder Stage at the World's Richest Acre Park on Commerce Street. Admission is free. "DEMENTIA AND DELIRIUM" AND "ASSESSING Activities for the Person with Dementia at Home," offered by The University of Texas Health Science Center in Tyler, will be 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. May 14 in the Biomedical Research Auditorium on the campus of UTHSCT, located at the intersection of U.S. 271 and Hwy. 155. NATIONAL LAW ENFORCEMENT DAY ceremony will be 11 a.m. May 15 in front of the Rusk County Courthouse in Henderson. Includes prayers, remarks and a 21-gun salute by the Henderson Police Honor Guard. All are invited. SATURDAY

DANVILLE DAYS AT DANVILLE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH will be 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 16 at the church, 2187 Danville Rd. Everyone is invited to come out for food, fun and fellowship, with shopping at numerous vendor booths filled with jams, jellies, baked goods and more. Vendors are welcomed to set up a "flea market booth" or promote their organization or group. Also, Helping Hands food drive. Dr. Heller has been a member of the faculty of Trinity University in San Antonio since 1986 as Professor of Music and University Organist.
