Rev. Darwood Galaway led his congregation in prayer at the net in front of St. Luke's.

The Prayer Nets, based on Bible passages found in Luke 21, went up in two locations, one in front of the church on Main St. and the other in the back on North St.Galaway said this will mark designated prayer spots for those in search of prayer. "All are invited to the net for prayer," said Galaway.

The prayer nets will be available to the community 24 hours a day, seven days a week, throughout the month of May

Galaway said if a person desires to sit and pray or write down the prayer and leave it in a prayer box located at the net. "A ribbon is then tied to the net," said Galaway. "Nothing is structured and nothing is mandatory for those who want prayer, there is no name signing, no one at the door, it is St Luke's commitment to provide people a quiet spot for prayer."
