DOROTHY BAMBERG COLLINS

Services for Dorothy Bamberg Collins, 84, of Kilgore were held Feb. 4, 2009, at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Keith Wilkerson and Mr. Ken Collins officiating. Interment followed at Kilgore Cemetery. Mrs. Collins died Saturday, Jan. 31.

She was born Nov. 15, 1925, in Kilgore to Luther and Bessie Bamberg. She was a long-time active member of the First Baptist Church of Liberty City and graduated in 1943 from Sabine High School. She continued her education at Kilgore College. Mrs. Collins worked for several area businesses as a bookkeeper.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Ken and Tanya Collins of Houston; one granddaughter; one greatgranddaughter; sister Claudine Warlick of Liberty City; and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.

Her husband James F. "June" Collins preceded Mrs. Collins in death.
