HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL
      District 18-2A has simply been no competition for the Sabine High School Cardinals varsity basketball team, running through competition like a hot knife through butter. The Harleton High School Wildcats were the latest victims, falling 67-22 on their home court to coach Tim Davis' Cardinals Tuesday night.

SERIES OF CLOSE LOSSES FOR KHS TEAMS
      Tuesday might have been an icy night in East Texas, but both Nacogdoches High School basketball teams left Kilgore High School gymnasium brushing the fires of defeat off their coattails. Varsity games were the only ones played, as officials at both schools took precautions over incoming inclement freezing weather.

J'ville leaves with 1-0 win
HIGH SCHOOL SOCCER
      Kilgore's varsity boys soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision, with the Indians scoring with just 13 minutes left. Coach Michael Bradshaw said he was proud of the way his team played, and that they're giving good effort. There was no junior varsity game due to the icy weather. The Bulldogs will be back home Friday, hosting Palestine, with JV beginning the night at 5:30 p.m.
