KPD receives $4,000 for participating in nationwide/state DWI program

ZERO POLICY FOR DRUNK DRIVERS
Kilgore Police Department's participation in a nationwide "Impaired Driving Mobilization" program in 2008 netted the department a $4,000 payoff this week. For two weeks, between Aug. 15 and Sept. 1, officers conducted DWI "enforcement waves" to increase DWI arrests as part of the state's "Drink. Drive. Go To Jail" campaign, held in conjunction with the nationwide program.
