      Those at the Kilgore College-Trinity Valley Community College ladies basketball game on Saturday night probably saw KC head coach Roy Thomas the happiest he's been since his arrival here three years ago. Thomas, who threw his arms up in celebration following the Lady Rangers' overtime win, had reason to celebrate.

      The Kilgore High School girls varsity basketball team took a big step in District 14-4A play last weekend, picking up their first district win and tying their record. For the KHS varsity boys, the journey, which they hope will end sometime in the UIL Class 4A playoffs, begins tonight.
