KC basketball at Rotary

      Coach Roy Thomas of the Kilgore College Lady Rangers told Rotarians his basketball team is good and getting better. Thomas was the guest speaker for the Kilgore Rotary Club on Wednesday. He discussed the current Lady Rangers' team, which was 10-2 heading into a showdown with Tyler.

Council to hold public hearings on proposed annexation
      City council is slated to hold the second of two public hearings on the proposed Danville Heights annexation next week. In other business, Eugene Davis, executive director of Kilgore Crisis Center, is slated to discuss Texas Emergency Grants Program.

Lions learn about nutrition

      The Kilgore Lions Club met on Thursday and the theme was to get a little leaner. Patricia Alford, nursing instructor at Kilgore College talked to the Lions about dieting and the need for proper nutrition. Alford said the average person should have a daily diet of approximately 3500 calories. "This can vary of course from person to person," said Alford.
