Xi Pi Mu meets in Adams home Jan. 5
Pat Morchat and Deedy Adams Members of Xi Pi Mu met Jan. 5 in the home of Deedy Adams. Members were given a tour of the newly remodel home, which was beautifully decorated for Christmas.
Assisting Deedy as co-hostesses were Alice Lowery and Cissy Covnet, who could not be present. A generous table of food was served prior to the meeting.
Pat Morchat called the meeting to order and the roll was called by Peggy Bowne, secretary pro-tem.
Deedy gave the program before the business meeting. She explained the reason her house was still decorated for Christmas is because Jan. 6 is a church festival celebrating the visit of the Wise Men to worship the infant Jesus. This day ends the "12 Days of Christmas." Deedy baked cakes and served each member. In one of the slices was a figurine; Martha Lee found it and was crowned queen.
A business meeting followed with reports from the social, services and remembrance. Pat closed the meeting with the closing ritual.
Others present for the meeting were Darlene Bingham, Lora Black, Cookie Gauntt, Gail Hargrave, Maryanne Harris, Sherry Lockman, Alice Lowery, Kristi McBride, Jadean Roberts and Lsha Stanley.
