L. T. "TIT" DENNIS

Funeral services for L. T. "Tit" Dennis, 84, of Kilgore will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2009, at Harmony Pirtle Baptist Church with Evangelist Ella Mae Walker officiating. Burial will be in Pirtle Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Victory Funeral Services.

Mr. Dennis was born on Sept. 19, 1919, in Overton, the son of Henry and Hattie Reece Dennis. He died Jan. 5.

He attended Rusk County public schools. He retired as mechanic from Scurlock Oil Company.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Katherine Dennis; two sons, Willy Theron Dennis and Michael Anthony Dennis; two sisters, Inez Reece and Josephine Blackwell; three brothers, Henry Dennis, James Williams and Algin Dennis.

He is survived by his daughters and son-in-law, Charlotte Dixon, Peggy and Bernard Snyder, all of Kilgore, and Gloria Howard of Overton; a son, James Dennis of Kilgore; sister, Helen Garland of Overton; and a host of grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Public viewing will be Monday, Jan. 12, from noon until 5:30 p.m. at Victory Funeral Services.
