MARY LOU ARMSTRONG
Mrs. Armstrong was born in Smackover, Arkansas, on January 16, 1933, to the late Easton and Thelma Leonard. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and homemaker. Mrs. Armstrong was a longtime faithful member of the St. Luke's United Methodist Church where she was involved in many activities including teaching Sunday School to the Pre-K children. In the 1980's she and her good friend Shirley owned and operated an antique store in Wylie. She was a people person who will be remembered as warm, open and a good friend who never met a stranger. Mrs. Armstrong was involved in Boy Scouts and served as Troop Leader, the Kilgore Garden Club and the Beta Gamma Psi service sorority. Mary Lou leaves behind many loving family and friends. She is survived by her daughter Sheri Gail Lapin of Houston; two sisters Reva Jane Farmer of Lewisville and Patricia Muegge of Waco; stepmother Helen Leonard of Longview; good friend Shirley McKinney of Kilgore and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends. Her husband Delma Gene Armstrong precedes Mrs. Armstrong in death.
