Lady Rangers rolling as KC heads to TJC

But coach Roy Thomas knows his Lady Rangers are ready.
The KC women's basketball team finished off their Ozarka Lady Rangers Classic on Saturday with a 74-66 win over the Houston Jaguars, their 10th win of the season. The Lady Rangers are 10-2 this year, but both losses have came in Region XIV Conference play.
KC will have another chance at a conference win on Wednesday night, as both programs visit Tyler Junior College. The ladies game will tip off at 5:30 p.m., the men to follow. Wednesday's men's game will be the first game back for the KC men, who haven't played since Dec. 6.
• KC 74, Houston 66: Kirbyville sophomore Denetra Kellum had things well in hand for the Lady Rangers on Saturday afternoon, scoring 29 points in this victory.
Kellum was joined in double figures by teammate Janae Henderson, an Orange native and also a sophomore, who scored 14.
