ATV accident injures father and daughter

A 26-year-old man and his 8-year-old daughter were released from two different hospitals Monday following a one-vehicle accident at Badd Rabbit ATV Park Saturday night.

According to Chuck Willeford, chief deputy with the Gregg County Sheriff 's Office, Robert Graham of Marshall and his daughter were both rushed by ambulance from the park, located at 1217 Post Oak Road north of Kilgore and south of the interstate.

The man was driving an ATV with his daughter aboard when it turned over on them as they drove up a 20- to 25-foot hill, which Willeford described as "like a large dirt pile.

The girl was air-lifted to LSU in Shreveport and her father was taken by ambulance to Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview. Both were originally listed "serious injuries," but the chief deputy said Monday afternoon both had non-life threatening injuries, including bruising.

The accident occurred around 9:20 p.m. Willeford said no tickets were issued.
