RUBY TOLBERT BEST

Ruby Tolbert Best, 70, born January 30, 1938, in Henderson, Texas, to Pete and Lela Jolley Channel, went home to be with her Lord on January 4, 2009, in Longview, Texas.

Mrs. Best was a member of Stone Ridge Baptist Church for many years and asked that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Stone Ridge Baptist Church.

Ruby liked to travel and loved her cats, but most of all she loved her family.

Mrs. Best is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Perry E. Tolbert; brother, Terry Channel, and sisters, Marie Cox and Dean Adams.

She is survived by her loving husband, Ted Best; three sons, Rocky Bumgardner and Rusty Bumgardner, both of Longview; and Eddie Bumgardner of Henderson; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; brother, Harvey Channel; sisters, Ruth Roberts and Jean Hughes all of Henderson.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, January 8, 2009, at Lakeview Funeral Home, with the Rev. John Gradberg and Dale Easterling officiating. Entombment will follow in the Lakeview Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.

The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, January 7, 2009, at Lakeview Funeral Home.591203
