    Kilgore and Sabine schools are filled with talented singers, per the Region IV All-Region Choir Concert held at Mt. Pleasant in November. Congratulations to the students chosen to these four choirs:

    Middle School Cambiata Choir — Jodi Mitchell of Sabine and Ryanne Hall, Aaliyah Ballard, Haley Hinton and Danielle Crosby, all from Maude Laird.

    Middle School Mixed Choir — Stephani Jones, Grace Whitfield, Janesha Brager, Halee Powell, Shaniqua Ector, Clay Wiley, Hunter Bourque, Justin Farmer and Seth Whisenhunt, all from Maude Laird; and Jacob Reed and James Cook from Sabine.

    9-12 High School Honor Choir — Shayla Gossett, Ceason Jones, Megan Pentecost, Bailey Clements, Ellen Reid, Brittany Stuart, LieQuan Byrd, Randy Carr, Kendrick

    Chumley and Terrence Daniels from Sabine; and Tyeisha Crook, Kid Wells, Meagan Whisenhunt, Shemeca Scott, KME Walton, Allison Whisenhunt, Ryan Avila, Dustin Dubose, Wyndham Jones, Kim Tae Hun and Landry Ponder from Kilgore.

    High School Treble Choir — Stephanie Wilson, Agnesia Strickland, Fayth Sweat, Essence Davis, Peyton Pentecost, Yeana Lee, Treasure Willige, Chel'sea Herrington, Deidra Monson, Lara Simmons, Shelby Taylor, Megan Goins, Melody Taylor, Allyson Clark, Bailey Clements, Benjamin Washburn, Gavin Gee, Gerard Klingman and Jackson Lane, all from Sabine.

    +++ Volunteers will be more than welcome to come out Saturday to Hugh Camp Memorial County Park, located on Old Hwy. 135, to string lights and put up decorations for the 12th Annual Christmas In The Park at Liberty City.

    The community-wide holiday event will kick off Thanksgiving night, when they will turn on more than 100,000 lights, animated decorations and lighted nativity. The park will be open every night through the end of December and it's free admission for everybody. Santa will also visit soon.

    The Liberty City Christmas Parade is set for 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7. This year's theme is "The Wonder of Christmas Morning."
