R. V. SILVERTOOTH

Services for Mr. R. V. Silvertooth, 90, of Longview will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 7, 2008 at the Grace Fellowship Church in Kilgore with the Rev. Brian Nutt officiating. Interment will follow at Rusk County Memorial Gardens. Mr. Silvertooth passed away Thursday evening in Longview.

Mr. Silvertooth was born on June 2, 1918 in Noble, Arkansas to Frank and Sarah Silvertooth. R. V. joined the United States Army and served our country in the South Pacific participating in the battle for New Guinea, the Philippines and Luzon.

R. V. pastored churches in Wortham, Teague, Mc- Camey, and Whitestone. R. V. and Ada retired to Kilgore.

His wife Ada Silvertooth of Kilgore; two daughters, Sheila Payne and husband Robert of Lampasas, Judy Darlene White of Bridgeport; two sons, Matt Silvertooth and wife Melissa of Gladewater and Lance Silvertooth and Sheana of Bridgeport; four grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews survive him.

His parents, a daughter, Rouvena B. Parker, a granddaughter, Chanci Sheree Parker, and all of his brothers and sisters precede Mr. Silvertooth in death.

The family will receive friends at Rader Funeral Home Sunday evening between four and six p.m.
