Oil company moves into River Bend

Since the formal grand opening of River Bend Business Center and Industrial Park in May, plans have been finalized and construction begun on a new facility, SandRidge Energy, Inc., a company focused on natural gas and oil exploration and production.

Headquartered in Oklahoma City, SandRidge also has locations in Ft. Stockton, Midland/Odessa and Houston.

SandRidge Energy has purchased a six-acre tract for its East Texas Division, which will include a 10,000-square-foot operations facility in the 4 S Industrial Park, located in River Bend Business Center and Industrial Park.

MB Construction Management provided design/build services and site preparation for the facility, which began last week.

According to Julie Woods, spokesperson, this operation could bring more than 30 employees to the area.

SandRidge is a major company traded on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE: SD). With total assets exceeding $3.6 billion, SandRidge Energy stock is currently traded at over $61 per share.

River Bend Business Center and Industrial Park is already the location of several companies, including: East Texas Crude, Allied Waste, Valerus Compression Services, Nichols Transportation, and SandRidge Energy.

Contracts are pending on three land purchases and construction of additional businesses that should be announced in July.

River Bend Business Center and Industrial Park is doing its part to bring quality corporate partners to our area.
