BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB
THE CITY POOL
Looking for something to do this summer? Need to cool down or just have some fun? Kilgore has two places that can accommodate eveyone. The City Pool is open every day from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. and the Boys and Girls Club of Kilgore is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. (photos top clockwise) Ethan Barnett, 4, and his mom Edith find some bonding time and cool off. Edith says she and her son come to the pool four or five times a week. They're from Kilgore. Ariah Williams, 6, learns to float with some help from Ashley Hampton, both from Henderson. Ariah is the daughter of Stormy and John Hampton. Drake Bickham, a senior at Kilgore Highs School and an employee at the Boys and Girls Club this summer makes one very tall obstacle for kids trying to take his hat. The four musketeers from left, Avery Gorman, 8, Riana Detonio, 9, Lauren Tarpley, 10 and Victoria Brown, 10, all Kilgore, enjoy the water together. When it comes to ping pong, Nick Orange,11 (left) and Mason Gathright, 10 just can't be beaten as they team up for some doubles. Both boys go to Kilgore schools. It was wild west day at the Boys and Girls Club and in addition to cowboy hats, there was a western showdown outside. Mar'Shala Lollie, 8, a Kilgore Intermediate School student lets her nerf gun do the talking as she wins the batttle for best shot in this duel.
