      WASHINGTON (AP) - For kids to do better in math, their teachers might have to go back to school. Elementary-school teachers are poorly prepared by education schools to teach math, finds a study being released Thursday by the National Council on Teacher Quality.

Study shows many teens get alcohol from adults for free

      WASHINGTON (AP) - Many of the nation's estimated 10.8 million underage drinkers are turning to their parents or other adults for free alcohol. A government survey of teens from 2002 to 2006 said slightly more than half had engaged in underage drinking.

      BAD AROLSEN, Germany (AP) - From prison brothels to slave labor camps, 15 scholars concluded a two-week probe Thursday of an untapped repository of millions of Nazi records, and hailed it as a rich vein of raw material that will deepen the study of the Holocaust.
