Texan dies after truck crash

GLOSTER, La. (AP) - A Center, Texas, man died after crashing his saltwater truck on Louisiana state Highway 5 in DeSoto Parish.

State police say 43-year-old Willie C. Harris died at the scene Tuesday when his tractortrailer ran off the road in a left hand curve and overturned. Harris, who worked for Basic Energy Services, was wearing a seat belt.

The state police hazardous materials unit and the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality were involved in the cleanup since some of the saltwater in the tanker spilled after it overturned.
