KIBA FLOWERS FOR JUNE

The Kilgore Improvement and Beautification Association gave out their awards for June and the Beauty Spot Award located on 3004 Joy is truely just that. The garden has been in the making for ten years and the gardner is Bert Woodruff. Mr. Woodruff said he grew up growing things and he does it just for the love of making things grow. Mr. Woodruff has been ill the past few months and unable to tend his garden, but because of care given over the past years, despite the hail storm we all endured, thousands of blooms are still growing throughout his back yard. These Day Lillies need a lot of attenion and Mr. Woodruff said he is feeling much better and hopes to be back in his garden soon. And you can see these Lillies come in a variety of colors (left and above) and Mr. Woodruff said the yellow ones give of the best aroma. The Commercial Beauty Spot Award goes to The Willows, located at 1901 Whippoorwill (right) and the Yard of the Month goes to Mr. and Mrs. Donald Buck at 2712 Stone Rd. who had beautiful fawna throughout their yard.
