Casino Night will offers silent auction

A silent auction will be held Saturday evening during the Casino Night held by the Kilgore Community Crisis Center. Auction chairperson, Leah Gorman, has collected over 60 items.

We appreciate the local merchants donating such great things," said Leah. "I know the committee has worked hard collecting the items and getting them ready for the auction. Now, we need the public to turn up and place their bids," she said.

Some of those items include a custom made pillow valued at $375 donated by Justin Dupont, owner of Provence; fish cooker donated by Martin Gas, a lamp from Two O Five, Kilgore College Ranger jerseys, helmet and football camp registration for next summer, movie baskets from Citizens Bank and other fabulous items.

"One of my personal favorites of the donations are a pair of Ed Hardy sunglasses donated by Craig Eye Association," said Leah. "They are awesome and I know I will be the first to place a bid," she said.

"We just want the supporters of Casino night to have fun," said Gerald Pybas, president of the board at the Kilgore Com- munity Center. "Their donations have helped us continue to operate and we want to show them a good time.

This makes the third year for the Crisis Center to sponsor Casino Night. Texas Casino Parties from Dallas will be supplying the gaming tables and staff. Blackjack, roulette, craps and poker tables will be set up for those who enjoy playing.

Back by popular demand will be Richard Stuart and the One Night Stand. This band plays the realm from country to contemporary for those who like to listen and for those who desire to dance.

Registration and tickets will be available at the door of Meadowbrook Country Club with Crisis Center staff ready to assist supporters of this big fundraiser event. Gaming will be offered from 6-11p.m. at 1306 Houston Street. For more information call 903-984-3019.
