J. L. (WINKY) WILKINS

Graveside services for J. L. (Winky)Wilkins, 81, of Liberty City will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 12, 2008 at the Mt.Moriah Cemetery with burial following services. Mr. Wilkins passed away Monday, June 9, 2008 in Kilgore.

Mr. Wilkins was born November 28, 1926 in Gladewater to the late Virgil and Pauline Wilkins. He served in the United States Army during WWII and was stationed in the Philippines. Mr.Wilkins was a retired Material Controller for Texas Eastman after many years of service. Everyone who knewMr. Wilkins will miss him.

His wife Lounette Wilkins who passed away in 1998 precedes him in death.

Mr.Wilkins is survived by his two sons and daughters-in-law Barry and LauraWilkins of Liberty City andMike and Rhonda Wilkins of Liberty City; brother Bobby Johnson of Kilgore; ten grandchildren Dana Smith of Houston, Melanie Black of Tyler, Eddie Langley of Steven City, West Virginia, Laurie Crosston of Houston, Kim Smith of Austin, Michelle Rutherford of Dallas, Lance Freeman of Houston, Teri Wilkins ofDallas, JamesWilkins of Liberty City and JohnWilkins of Liberty City; eleven great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and many other loving family and friends.

The family will receive friends at Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore Wednesday evening between 6:00 and 8:00 p.m.
