My list of places one must visit includes Washington, D.C. and one Hughes Springs man is determined to take 180 W.W.II veterans on an Honor Flight which will allow them the glory of a visit to the W.W.II Veterans Memorial in our nation's capitol.

The Honor Flight is free for veterans of that war. If you or someone you know is a W.W.II veteran, or a terminally-ill veteran, who would like to take this one-day trip, contact O.C. Brett Andrew Andrews, of Kilgore, was one of 382 students at Northwestern State University of Louisiana named to the President's List for the spring 2008 semester, according to NSU President Dr. Randall J. Webb. Students on the President's

List must be enrolled full time at Northwestern and make no less than an A in all academic courses pursued.

Also from Kilgore, Paul R. Adams and Tristan Drake Roberts were among the 863 students at NSU named to the Dean's List for the Spring 2008 semester, according to NSU Provost Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Thomas Hanson. Students on the Dean's List must be enrolled full time at NSU and have a grade point average for the fall semester of between 3.5 and 3.99.

+++ Crims Chapel Volunteer Fire Department is hosting an Open House with prizes for kids on Saturday, June 14 from 1:30 p.m. until 4 p.m.
