ETRA gets $5.3 million improvement grant WASHINGTON - U.S. Sen. John Cornyn announced Thursday that the East Texas Regional Airport will receive a federal grant of $3,257,250 million for infrastructure and safety improvements. The funding comes through the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT). "These funds will be used to address needed maintenance and safety improvements for the East Texas Regional Airport," Sen. Cornyn said. "In addition, quality transportation services are important for boosting local economic growth. I commend the area leaders who worked to secure this funding." The funds, distributed through DOT's Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), will be used to rehabilitate the taxiway. |
