Does heart disease run in your family? How can you avoid developing heart problems as you age? What is the No. 1 best thing you can do to keep your heart healthy?

The answers to these and many other questions will be provided at "Your Heart: An Owner's Workshop," a free seminar scheduled for 9:30 a.m.- 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 10, at Henderson Memorial Hospital, 300 Wilson St. in Henderson. The seminar is sponsored by The University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler.

James Galizia, MD, a UTHSCT cardiologist, will discuss the risk factors for heart disease and outline the most up-to-date information about the heart. He will offer tips on how to avoid developing heart disease. Dr. Galizia is board certified in cardiology and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.

Free screening for blood

pressure and cholesterol will be available beginning at 9:30 a.m., with the presentation starting at 10 a.m. The health education seminar is free, but seating is limited and reservations are required. Refreshments will be provided.
