CLAUDIA LAVERNE HEADLEY

Services for Claudia Laverne Headley, 72, of Whitehouse are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home chapel, with J.C. Tate and Douglas Dudley officiating. Burial will be in Whitehouse Cemetery under the direction of Burks Walker Tippit.

"Well done my good and faithful servant. Enter into the joy of your Lord." The Lord welcomed Claudia home on May 30, 2008, after a short battle with cancer.

Claudia was born near Big Spring, Texas on February 1, 1936. She married Robert {Bob} Headley on March 29, 1958, and spent the next 50 years and two months as his wife, partner, soulmate, mother of his children, and devoted grandmother. Claudia was a member of the body of Christ and attended services at the Whitehouse Church of Christ. She deeply touched everyone who knew her, is loved, and will be missed by all.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation be considered to the American Cancer Society, or a charity of choice, in her name.

Survivors include her husband Bob of Whitehouse; her son Steven and his wife of Arlington, Texas; her son Dee of Kilgore, Texas; five beautiful grandchildren; sister in-law Opal Reed of Coleman, Texas; several cousins, nephews and other relatives.

The family will receive friends Monday at the funeral home from 6 p.m. till 8 p.m.
