ETCS student honored

Carolyn Williams, marketing director for East Texas Christian School said Kiersten Stegall, an eighth grader at ETCS received a superior rating at the district Association for Christian Schools International (ACSI) festival in Dallas.

Williams said students from five states participated in the district festival where superior is the highest rating a student can earn. "In order to advance to the district competition, a student must first achieve a superior at the regional level," said Williams. "Only 78 students advanced to the district level and only 24 of those students achieved a superior rating."

Kiersten's name will be among the 24 superior entries that will be compiled in a booklet to be published later this summer said Williams.

Kiersten is the daughter of David and Tanya Stegall of Kilgore.
