F.L. "ROY" LUNSFORD

Graveside services for F.L. "Roy" Lunsford, 90, of Kilgore will be held 4:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 27, 2008 at Rusk County Memorial Gardens with Reverend Dudley Plaisance officiating. Mr. Lunsford passed away Friday, May 23, 2008.

He was born March 28, 1918 in Caldwell, Texas, son of the late A.F. and Lillie Lunsford. Mr. Lunsford was a longtime member of Laird Hill Methodist Church where he served as President of the Board for over 40 years. Roy was help start Helping Hand in Kilgore and was active in youth athletics. Mr. Lunsford worked many years as a car salesman and retired from Dusty Rhodes Ford in 1987.

He is survived by his wife of 70 years Margie Lunsford of Kilgore, two sons, Roy M and wife Jeanne Lunsford of Hallsville and Gary Lunsford of Kilgore; five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; three sisters, Doris Varner of Bryan, Dorothy Barnett of Bryan and Louise Addison of Caldwell; several nieces and nephews.

In lure of flowers memorial maybe made to Laird Hill Methodist Church or Margaret's Place Beacon Hill Hospices.
