Approximately 511 participants helped 'Make Kilgore Shine' last month. Anyone can be part of the fun everyday, by joining KIBA (Kilgore Improvement Beautification Association). KIBA meets 1:15 p.m. the second Tuesday of ever month at Kilgore Chamber of Commerce.

The Kilgore High School class of 1968 is looking for former classmates who attended school with them. Reunion activities are planned for the weekend of June 13 and 14. If you have not already heard from one of the planning committee members, or if you know how to get in touch with members of this class, please contact Rosemary Whitten at 903-863-2108.

Do you have a copy of the June issue of Texas Highways Magazine? It is a souvenir issue, one that you will want to keep and share with family and friends.

There are 70 pages of articles, ads and commentary; Kilgore owns 13 of those pages.

The Kilgore article is about our rich history, our culture and about much of our own colorful characters in town. We are so fortunate to have been a part of this magazine that has a circulation of over 215,000 including our shoulder states.

If you don't have a copy and would like one the Chamber has them for sale at the regular newsstand price of $3.95 each. Call or come by, they will not last long.
