Boys and girls get out those floaties, flippers and goggles, it's time to hit the pool.
The Kilgore City Pool will open on Saturday at 1 p.m. for the Memorial Day Weekend and once school is out the pool will be open seven days a week.
Mike Green, parks director for the City of Kilgore said there are 16 lifeguards hired, two pool managers and the concession stand will be under private operation this year.
Green said Kristen Brown is the pool manager, Kendall Farrar is the assistant manager and Joshua Rice will be managing the snackbar.
The lifeguards are Red Cross certified, with each lifeguard working five days a week. The pool is open from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. and the cost is $3 per person, with a KYSSED card it is only $1.50 to get in.
Green said children under nine years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
There is no splash day this year, so come with your money to get in on Saturday.
Swim lessons will be offered in two sessions this summer, for more information on those lessons contact the pool manager. Times will also be available for private parties.
