OLETA GOODWIN

Services for Oleta Goodwin, 74, of Kilgore will be two p.m., Wednesday, May 21, 2008 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home with Brothers. Murphy Walker and Tim Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Welch Cemetery in Brachfield, Texas. Mrs. Goodwin died Monday, May 19, 2008 in Kilgore, Texas.

She was born August 16, 1933 in Henderson, Texas to the late Luther and Gertie Rousseau Hutto. Mrs. Goodwin retired from Sprint Telephone Company after 35 years of service. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Longview and has lived in Kilgore for 54 years. Mrs. Goodwin was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who truly loved the Lord.

Mrs. Goodwin is survived by her husband of 40 years, Charles Goodwin of Kilgore; daughter & son-in-law, Pat and Don Canterbury of Kilgore; son & daughter-in-law, Larry and Leann Goodwin of Woodlawn, Texas; grandchildren, Jason and Jessica Alford, Matthew Alford, Donna Canterbury and Lyle Goodwin; great-grandchildren, Madison and Bailey Alford; sister, Elaine Helm of Alto, Texas; sister-in-law, Mary Britt of Uncertain, Texas and Dorothie Hutto of Alto, Texas, Sherry Brown of Plano; brother-in-law, Lawrence Goodwin and wife Jeri of Carrollton, Texas; aunt, Thelma Little of Henderson; uncle, Oswald Rousseau of Carthage, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Dale Hutto.

Pallbearers will be Jamie Silvertooth, Paul Robertson, Herchel Wiggins, Craig Herrin, Travis Fryant, Terry Britt and David McFarland.

The family will receive friends at Rader Funeral Home Tuesday evening between six and eight p.m.
