BEEF CATTLE PRODUCERS WORKSHOP Monday, May 19. at the Extension Meeting Room, 115 E. Fordall St. in Henderson, 6 PM. Dr. Buddy Faries, Extension Program Leader for Veterinary Medicine with Texas AgiLife Extensiontopic on dealing with calving difficulties. Other topics: broadleaf herbicide update and implementing good weed control for maximizing forage production and can reduce input costs. THE ANNUAL MEETING OF THE PIRTLE CEMETERY ASSOCIATION will be held on Sunday, June 8 at the cemetery. The cemetery is located on CR 173 N in Kilgore. A business meeting will begin at 10 a.m., followed by the memorial service at 11:30 a.m. followed by lunch. The Pirtle Cemetery Association maintains two historic cemeteries. Those unable to attend but who wish to donate to the preservation of the two cemeteries, please send donation to Pirtle Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 794, Kilgore, TX 75663.

THE ANNUAL MEETING OF THE ROCK SPRING CEMETERY ASSOCIATION will be having their annual Homecoming, 1 p.m. Sunday, June 1. KILGORE PUBLIC LIBRARY is looking for donations to for a summer knitting class. Staff is asking the public to bring in knitting needles and yarn. For more information contact Janet Marley at 903-984-1529.

THE LAIRD FOUNDATION AUXILIARY GIFT SHOP is needing book donations. The books are sold for .25¢ to provide prescription durgs for indigent area residents and Kilgore College Nursing Scholarships. Books may be dropped off at the gift shop lacated in the hospital lobby
