Citizen Bank Employee of the Quarter

Sammy York pressents Shannan Arnold with her plaque for Employee of the Quarter.
Shannan Arnold has been selected employee of the quarter at Citizens Bank for the second quarter of 2008, according to Sammy D. York, president and chief executive.

Arnold has been employed at Citizens Bank since September, 2005. She is a teller at the bank and also serves as the vault teller, which means she opens the vault each day, buys and sells money for other tellers and balances the vault each day.

This is not her first banking job. She spent eight months at another financial institution before coming to work at Citizens Bank.

She was born in the Kilgore area, graduated from Sabine High School in Liberty City and still lives in the Kilgore area. Her parents are Charles Calvin Porter and the late Bonnie Kay Porter. She also has a sister, Angela Burch, who is an officer with the Kilgore Police Department, and a late brother, Jeb Travis Porter.

She has been married to Robert Arnold for three years, and they enjoy spending time with family. She is an avid reader and likes Harry Potter books and movies.

"I was very surprised to hear my name called as Employee of the Quarter," she said. "I feel privileged to work with the people here at Citizens Bank, and I am very grateful to be selected."

"We appreciate Shannan for the job she does for Citizens Bank," York said. "She is on the front line each day, waiting on our customers, and does an excellent job."
