KHS CHEER SUPPORT GROUP will meet Monday, May 12 at 6:30 in the Kilgore High School cafeteria. All who are interested are welcomed.

TUESDAY

THE WHITE OAK ALZHEIMER'S SUPPORT GROUP will continue showing the DVD "Creating Family Moments" at the next meeting on May 13. The meeting is held at the Community of Christ at 612 N. White Oak Rd. on the 2nd Tuesday each omnth at 12:30 p.m. All interested parties are invited. Refreshment are served. Contact Duane Amos at 903-734-7971 for more information.

THE KHS WAR YEARS REUNION GROUP will meet Tuesday may 13 at 5:30 p.m. for their monthly dinner/meeting at Wilk's Pinehill Ranch, 8016 CR 365 E, Henderson.

WEDNESDAY

CIVIC GARDEN CLUB will meet May 14, 2007, 10:00 a.m., at the home of Lawana Sistrunk. Linda Dyer of Tyler will preside over the installation of officers for the 2008-2009 year. A salad luncheon will follow.

FRIDAY

PIRTLE METHODIST CHURCH LADIES will have a garage sale and luncheon Friday and Saturday May 16 and 17 beginning at 8 a.m. (See the ad in the Kilgore News Herald.) Go 3.5 miles south of the new loop on Hwy. 259 south, turn left on CR 146 and go to the dead-end.

MACULAR DEGENERATION SUPPORT GROUP invites you to their regular monthly meeting to be held at the Friendship Room at Buckner Westminster Place, 2201 Horsehshoe Lane, Saturday, May 10, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Speaker will be John Frederick. Assistance in reading for the visually impaired

SULPHUR SPRINGS' FOLK FESTIVAL AND BLUEGRASS in the Park are May 9 and 10. Bluegrass music begins at 4:30 p.m. with tickets priced at $15. The Folk Festival is from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. pn Saturday; tickets are $3 or free with a Bluegrass ticket. Both events are at Hopkins County Heritage Park & Museum, 416 N. Jackson Street.

COUNTRY PATCHES QUILT GUILD will have their annual Jessica Jones Quilt Show. The free show is held in the Gladewater Museum, 116 W. Pacific Ave, Gladewater. Show days are Friday, May 9 and Sat, May 10, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The public is invited to stop by and view antique and new quilts. Also hanging will be the guild's 2008 donation quilt "Texas Pride", already a prize winning quilt. For more information call 903-845-3907.

KILGORE PUBLIC LIBRARY is looking for donations to for a summer knitting class. Staff is asking the public to bring in knitting needles and yarn. For more information contact Janet Marley at 903-984-1529.

THE LAIRD FOUNDATION AUXILIARY GIFT SHOP is needing book donations. The books are sold for .25¢ to provide prescription durgs for indigent area residents and Kilgore College Nursing Scholarships. Books may be dropped off at the gift shop lacated in the hospital lobby

THE KILGORE HIGH SCHOOL CLASSES OF 1978 AND 1979 will have an organizational meeting at Larry Gaudet's barn 7 p.m. Friday night, April 18. His barn is approximately 2 1/3 miles East of 259 on Baughman Road. For more information call J at 903-984- 2525.
