Kilgore native Millicent Dickey (left), playing softball at Texarkana College, hustles to third base. Dickey and TC won their conference last week, and will play in the regional tournament at Blinn on Friday morning. The tournament will continue throughout the weekend. TC went to the World Series last season in Lakeland, Fla., and earlier this year, TC defeated the team that eliminated them in that World Series. Dickey, the team's second baseman, is the daughter of Mark and Renita Dickey of Kilgore. See an update on TC next week in the News Herald.
