RICHARD LEWIS COX

Services for Richard Lewis Cox, 64, of Liberty City, were Tuesday, April 29, 2008 with Rev. Hohnny Wright officiating with military rites. Burial took place at Overton City Cemetery in Overton, under the direction of Burrows Overton Funeral Home.

He passed away Thursday, April 24, 2008 in Gregg Co. He was born July 21, 1943 to Richard Lee Cox and Helen Jones Cox. He was a 1961 graduate of Overton High School and was a veteran of the VietNam War, receiving the many medals and badges including the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star. He received an associate degree in Oil and Gas Tech. from Kilgore College.

He is survived by a son, Stuart Cox, of Liberty City; brother, Philip Cox of Overton; three sisters, Janie Cox of Longview, Elaine Owens, of Magnolia, Rita Hogan of Kilgore; and one grandson.
