PLAYOFFS BEGIN FRIDAY FOR DIAMOND 'DOGS

The Bulldogs (15-11 overall) won four of their last five games in the regular season to make the UIL Class 4A playoffs for the sixth straight year. They'll open the playoffs at Sulphur Springs and against Sulphur Springs on Friday night, a 7 p.m. start. It's a one-game bi-district playoff. The Sulphur Springs baseball field is not at the high school. According to directions posted on the KISD web site, to get to the field from Kilgore, take I-20 West to Highway 69 North. Stay on 69 North to Emory, and then take Highway 19 North to Sulphur Springs. Arriving there, stay on 19 to Houston Street and take a right. The field will be on Houston Street on the right. |
