From special reports

The East Texas Pump Jacks - the area's new Texas Collegiate League baseball team - unveiled what players will sport on the field when they revealed the team's hats and uniforms on Monday.

The Pump Jacks will wear hats inspired by the dual donkey and dinosaur primary logos released earlier this month. The donkey cap will feature the letters "ET" (for East Texas) superimposed over the donkey's body. A similarly-styled dinosaur hat boasts the letters "PJ" (for Pump Jacks) over the dinosaur's body. Both hats will bear a small TCL logo on the back.

The donkey hat will be a shade of forest green known as dark forest. The dinosaur cap will be a burgundy hue known as cardinal.

Players will wear fitted caps on the field, but fans will be able to purchase either fitted or adjustable caps. Player hats and adjustable player replica caps will be a traditional wool material.

The team will also be selling caps featuring either the donkey or dinosaur hat logo on a black hat made of jersey mesh, a breathable material commonly used for Major League Baseball batting practice hats. The black caps will be fitted and feature the Pump Jacks' wordmark on the back.

Player fitted and adjustable caps, as well as the black jersey mesh varieties, are being produced by Zephyr Headwear, the official hat supplier of the TCL. For 15 years, Zephyr has made top-quality caps for players and fans in a variety of sports. The fitted hats produced by Zephyr for the Pump Jacks will feature Z-fit sizing, the company's flexible fitted cap that provides a great fit for several different hat sizes.

Fitted caps will cost $21, with adjustable hats selling for $19 each. The Pump Jacks are giving fans a chance to pre-order these hats, though, and save two dollars per item - fitted caps would then cost $19 each, and adjustable $17. Pre-ordering your hats will ensure that fans can get the very hat they like, in their size, when the caps arrive in early June, since demand is expected to be high. The offer will only be available for a limited time, so interested fans are encourage to take advantage by visiting the team's office at 1100 Stone Road, Suite 120 in Kilgore, e-mail the team at info@ pumpjacksbaseball.com, or call the team at (903) 218-GO ET.

The Pump Jacks also unveiled home and road uniforms for their inaugural season. Home uniforms will be traditional white with black piping, sporting the "Pump Jacks" name across the front in burgundy with a black shadow. Small TV numbers on the jersey front and larger number of the back will be dark green with a black outline. The pants will be white and have black piping down the side.

On the road, the Pump Jacks will don black jerseys with "East Texas" across the chest in white with a burgundy shadow. The numbers on the front and back of the uniforms will be dark green with a burgundy outline. The team will wear traditional grey pants on the road.
