BIG NUMBERS FOR PIRTLE BARBEQUE

Pirtle United Methodist Church held their Annual Historic Barbecue on Saturday and according to Dudley Plaisance, pastor for PUMC, it was a great event. "We sold over 550 lunches, there was games and activities for the kids and the entertainment which was new this year was great. Cadillac Sky out of Ft. Worth performed bluegrass music. (photo left) Matt Menefee plays the banjo for Cadillac Sky. Other members of the group were Mike Jump on guitar, Ross Holmes on fiddle, Andy (Panda) Moritz on bass and Bryan Simpson on mandolin. (photo top) Paris Stephens, 2, heads down the slide with a smile on her face. Paris is the daughter of Shana and Arthur Stephens from Irving. Jennifer Brown and E'Beth Chapel also sang.
