National award-winning twirlers

This group of high school twirlers attended Marching Auxiliary National competition in Fort Worth on March 29 and 30. They performed a 1- and 3- baton routine. They placed first on both routines, bringing home two 3-foot trophies. This is the team's second double first place win at MA Nationals.

The girls that make up the team, Blair's Elite, consist of senior Lara Benton from Pine Tree, junior Brandi Hull from Pine Tree, sophomore Briana Willard from Pine Tree, sophomore Rachel Williamson from Pine Tree, sophomore Kristen Meier from Pine Tree, and freshman Shelby Elder from Kilgore.

Soloist, Shelby Elder, a Kilgore High School Twirler, also performed her 3-baton solo. She placed second, bringing home a 2-foot trophy in the junior division.
