Main Street needs more input for downtown
By KATHRYN MARTINEZ news1@kilgorenewsherald.com

"Tell us Your Sweet Dreams for Downtown Kilgore," Fallon Burns Main Street Manager said. "The city, designers and engineers want to know what you want."

Burns has distributed flyers to downtown merchants; and is now seeking their input.

"This meeting is a great opportunity to speak out about your downtown," Burns said. "Public opinion brings a deeper awareness to planners, of what downtown Kilgore used to be and what it could be again."

Shelly Potter, of Shelly Potter Designs and Mike Burns , of KSA Engineering have set aside time to attend the meeting and answer questions, as well as receive guidance.

Potter and Burns will also present preliminary sketches and a design plan created in 2004.

The Sweet Dreams Public Forum is slated for 5:30 p.m. Monday, April 28 at 212 East Main St. (the Former Kwik Kopy).
