HODGKINS SHOOTS 89 ON DAY ONE

Photo by Lester Murray Kilgore High School senior Courtney Hodgkins (above) shot an 89 yesterday at Robson Ranch Golf Course in the UIL Region II Class 4A golf tournament. "She really played well on the front, and shot a fiveover 41, which could have easily been a 38 or 39," coach Jimmy Williams said. "She got off to a rough start on the back and ended up with a 41." Currently, Hodgkins, the only KHS golfer that qualified for regionals, is in 24th place (out of 102 players), as the second round was to be played today.
