ALBERT M. "SONNY" ELLIOTT

Graveside services for Lt. Col. Albert M. Elliott, Air Force Retired, will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 19 in the Overton Cemetery under the direction of Burrow's Overton Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Kennedy conducting the service. Mr. Elliott, 76, passed in San Antonio on April 6, 2008.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert R. and Lillian J. Elliott; wife, Carolyn J. Elliott; son, Arthur L. Elliott.

He is survived by his son, Raymond J. Elliott of San Antonio; brother, W. Floyd

Joyce) Elliott of Kilgore; sister in-law, G. Kay Elliott and husband of San Antonio.

Mr. Elliott graduated from Leverett's Chapel High School and completed a degree in Mathematics at East Texas State Teachers College. He taught and coached basketball at Gaston High School until called into the Air Force for military service during the Korean conflict. After twenty-two years service in the Air force he retired and worked several years as director of water districts for the city of San Antonio.
